CEREMONY FOR CAROL FENTON

Dear All,

A ceremony for Carol will be held at Islington Crematorium at 2pm on Tuesday 17th November. Very sadly due to Covid restrictions very few people will be able to attend and so we are making a webcast available by clicking on the following link at the time of the ceremony. It will also be available for a further 28 days if you are not able to virtually attend at that time. You will find the order of service attached.

Memorials
A blog is being created at www.whenithinkaboutcarol.co.uk Please send memories, anecdotes, anything you want to share on the blog for Carol, to Genevieve at hello@geneclosuit.com …. minimum requirement: a photo or an image with text.
Other online tributes including Facebook memorial page or sound recordings of thoughts may become available so please keep in touch to see those. There will be links put onto the blog above as well.

As per Carol’s wishes, her ashes are going to be in 3 places as part of tree plantings in Hackney, Lespinette in Lauzerte and in South Dalton. Again keep in touch to hear about these and any plans for these.

Donations

Carol asked for any donations to be given to the following 3 charities – if you can do this directly to the organisation you choose (or even all 3 if you can!) then they can benefit from Gift Aid and there is no administration fee – thanks.
Macmillan Cancer  Support – Carol worked here for a number of years as manager for London and the South East and then later advising on care for terminally ill cancer patients.

St Joseph’s Hospice, Hackney – when Carol worked for Macmillan she came into contact with St Joseph’s Hospice, she later volunteered with them as a compassionate neighbour and was also a patient there. St Joseph’s staff also supported Carol during her final weeks at home.

Bromley by Bow Centre – an innovative centre that Carol supported while working as a manager at Tower Hamlets Primary Care Trust where the medical surgery is housed within a community centre. Edie attended the nursery there too.

Thanks for all the letters and emails and support that you have given to all of us over these difficult days.
Love
Sebastian, Edie and Henry
