From Naomi Peck

When I think about Carol I see:
– her luminous smile
– her beautifully expressive hands
– her pursed lips/raised eyebrows/eye roll/tuck of the chin, which was as close as she got to showing any kind of judgment
– her effortless and very unique style
– her singular beauty inside and out

When I think about Carol I remember:
– holidays and walks, in small/big groups of friends and by ourselves
– hooting with laughter and talking about anything and everything, even the tricky stuff
– her genuine interest in the people she met in all areas of her life
– the greatest capacity for tea drinking of anyone I have met
– her driving me to hospital as my contractions came quick and fast and firmly insisting the midwife replaced the empty canister with a full one so I actually got some gas with my air
– her devotion to her family and loyalty to Sebastian
– her principles and determination
– how she really only saw the good in people

When I think about Carol I think:
– how lucky we are that we knew her
– how very talented she was, professionally and in her creative practice
– how strong she was
– how she was a really good friend to me, for which I will always be grateful

Like so many, I am going to miss her terribly.
