Dear Sebastian, Edie and Henry,
We were so sad to hear about Carol, she leaves behind an amazing legacy in Tower Hamlets. She was key to the foundation of the Bromley by Bow centre and social prescribing, which has now been put in every general practice in the country. This is having a massive impact on health across the country and is now an international movement with the first international conference having been held in London last year. Carol, while working for the NHS, put her heart and soul behind the project at a time when many in the system were highly sceptical. Over 20 years ago we worked with Carol to set up the Tower Hamlets out of hours service which is still providing an excellent service to local people, and on a personal note, working with Carol was always an incredibly happy experience. She always saw the best in everybody, and as a great leader inspired people to come up with positive solutions. She was most of all a kind and courageous person, an inspiration to all of us.
Love Sam and Linda.
