Carol seemed to have endless patience and a wicked sense of humour – much needed amongst so many rumbustious brothers and their friends.

Ian, Millie, Flo, Hester and I met Carol, Sebastian, Edie and Henry through Albertine, when we bought a place in south west France.

When I think of Carol….. I think of whispering catch-ups while watching Henry and Joe’s Christmas concerts and assemblies.

If someone asked me to describe Carol, I would have to tell them about – her hands, always moving to animate her words…
